Five Funny Joe Biden Cartoons

After President Obama’s miserable, poll-shifting performance in last week’s debate with Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Democrats are put in the akward position of hoping for a strong performance in Thursday’s Vice Presidential debate from gaffe-machine Joe Biden.

This means that unfortunately for Obama, he’s going to have to remove the tape from Joe’s mouth, like in this cartoon by Taylor Jones

Arizona Daily Star cartoonist David Fitzsimmons thinks Biden might be able to take advantage of an inexperienced Paul Ryan…

At this point, Delaware cartoonist Rob Tornoe thinks Joe Biden is a wildcard…

While Augusta Chronicle cartoonist Rick McKee knows where Biden will be resting prior to the debate…

Readers Comment on Controversial Biden Cartoon

Last week, Joe Biden (view all our Biden Gaffe cartoons) got into some hot water when he awkwardly told a crowd during a campaign rally that “Romney’s going to let the big banks once again write their own rules – unchain Wall Street!” adding, “They’re going to put y’all back in chains.”

Well, our conservative flamethrower Gary McCoy responded with this cartoon about the gaffe-prone Vice President:

McCoy’s cartoon created a stir among readers, and led to a deluge of comments from our Facebook and Twitter pages. Here’s a sampling of their comments:

Paul Hartzer: Racism under the guise of rebuking Biden’s “racism”.

Jon Hall: Here come the defenders of the Progressive Faith — letting us all know he didn’t mean *those* chains …

Stilton Jarlsberg: I applaud Gary McCoy’s courage in speaking out about this. Racism is NOT acceptable – especially in the mouths of those on the Left who make it into policy.

Mary Lou Quinn: How can (inappropriately) referring to the early history of black americans be, in any way, compared as equal to references of watermelon and malt liquor? Weapons of mass distraction!

Anika Denton: This cartoon is so vile and unfunny. Biden didn’t even make a racist statement, it’s Republicans fake poutrage that made simple-minded people think it was racist.

Obama’s Gay Marriage Evolution – Five Cartoons

President Obama’s decision to complete his “evolution” on the issue of same-sex marriage has created a media feeding frenzy, and momentarily shifted the debate from the economy and jobs.

[ View all our cartooons about Obama and Same-Sex Marriage ]

The timing for Obama is odd, who was obviously forced to announce his position after Vice President Joe Biden openly supported same-sex marriage on “Meet the Press” on Sunday. I bet gay voters in North Carolina would have appreciated Obama’s support sooner, rather than wait until the day after the state voted to ban all same-sex marriages and civil unions.

This will obviously be a huge issue in this campaign, so you can expect a lot of cartoons on the subject. Here are some initial reactions about Obama’s metamorphosis, including my own…

Does Biden Make Obama Look Bad on Gay Marriage?

On yesterday’s “Meet the Press,” Vice President Joe Biden told host David Gregory that he is “absolutely comfortable with… men marrying men, women marrying women.” Biden gave credit to the TV show “Will & Grace”, which featured numerous openly-gay characters, for helping change his position.

This puts him at odds with President Obama, who supports gay rights but has said repeatedly that he believe marriage should be between a man and a woman. He has also noted that his views on the matter are evolving.

Here are some cartoons about the contentious issue. What do you think – should same-sex couples be allowed to marry each other? Comment below or drop a note on our Facebook page.

Five Funny Biden Gaffe Cartoons

Biden Alert! Speaking about the Obama administration’s foreign policy at New York University, Vice President delivered a snicker-worthy line when he said, “I promise you, the president has a big stick.”

The former Delaware senator is known for flubs of the tongue. He also got some laughs when he described Obama’s decisiveness, telling the audience, “This guy’s got a backbone like a ramrod. For real. For real.”

Here are five funny cartoon from our archives about Biden’s tendency to say the wrong thing at the wrong time.
